Butte College Instructor Mike Agliolo asked if I could bring my custom motorcycle down to the college to use as a prop for a makeshift photo session . The session was setup to show students what to expect on an actual assignment. We were going to set up the shot outside between two buildings. As luck would have it there was a baseball game going on in the background and the wind was blowing 40 mph. The class was amazed at how quickly a photo shoot can fall apart. When this happens you can either quit or improvise. So we looked for another location and came across the welding shop. With the help up a couple of welders this is the shot we came up with.
Much better then a boring shot of a motorcycle between two buildings.

Model session Chico,CA
Seminar at Butte College Oroville,CA
This was a tough one. Butte College instructor Mike Agliolo asked if I would give a seminar on digital wedding photography. Of coarse I said yes. The prestige and all.
After a short presentation, he asked if I could set up a mock engagement session using some of the students as models. Now, anybody who has ever shot an engagement session knows how difficult it is to capture the romance between two people in love. Well, try doing it with two complete strangers. It started out slow but then magic. The models really got into it. We got some great images. Enjoy...

Jiffy Lube Paradise,CA
Early in the year I had the opportunity to photograph the construction of the new JIFFY LUBE in Paradise, California. I thought it was going to be just another construction shoot. "Boy" was I wrong. I was told that they were going to bring the building out in 4 pieces and set it up in one day. " Wow" no way, yes way. Here is how it went. Then they set set up the pit to support the building...
First, they brought the building out on trucks...
They lowered all the storage tanks into the pit...
After the first section was in place they brought in the staircase...
In came the next section...
Then the third section...
Finally the last section was set...
A little tweaking and...
Wala a completed building. Cool huh...

Mikkel and Emily's Engagement Session Chico,CA
Wow!! what a fantastic session. Mikkel and Emily were so great to work with it was hard to decided which images to post. What a gorgeous couple. I had the pleasure of meeting Mikkel at a photo session for Model Mayhem. Denise Neufeld (The Photographer) asked if I wanted to sit in while she shot this hot new male model. Little did I know I'd get the opportunity to photograph some of his engagement shots. You can see more of Mikkel on Denise's Blog or you can see him on Model Mayhem. I hope you enjoy viewing these as much as I enjoyed shooting them.
